- SYSTEM SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Description: Our projects are focused mainly on the areas of core operating system architecture, structure and internals, including operating system services, storage subsystems (file system drivers, intermediate drivers and device drivers) and networking sub systems (network protocols and connectivity components). The work involves developing operating system level software for win3X, Win9X, WinNT and Win2000 (some Unix and Linux). Successful candidates should have a speciality in operating system and low-level programming, GUI experience, good written and verbal communications skills and the ability to deliver results on time. Some low level project management skills a plus. Self-motivation and the desire for rapidly increasing levels of responsibility, commensurate with acquired knowledge and expertise are necessary.
Experience: At least 3 years in commercial projects.
Education: B.S. degree in computer science , electrical engineering, related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Skills: In-depth knowledge of DOS/Win3X/Win9X/WinNT/Win2000 Architecture, Structure and Internals, Device Driver Development and C (Unix knowledge a plus). Proficiency in i80x86 Architecture and Protected Mode programming. Familiarity with network protocols, network programming, C++, MFC, COM, Java VM concepts and Java.

- APPLICATION SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

- SOFTWARE APPLICATION ENGINEER
GEAR, Inc., a leading producer of CD recording applications targeted at the professional and advanced user market is looking for an experienced Application Engineer. Responsibilities include participation and communication with the Dutch software development team in creating functional and technical design specifications for future applications. Will also provide technical information and software support to customers, distributors and sales representatives. Requirements include a Bachelor degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent. C++ programming language and the use of source control software and high level debugging tools also required, as well as experience in Windows 95/NT and Microsoft Visual Basic and installation software. Graphical User Interface experience highly desirable. Ability to speak Dutch at a technical level strongly preferred. Some travel to Holland required. Experience in CD recordable technology and concepts also preferred.

Join our highly skilled quality assurance team responsible for testing our product line. Requires experience in software testing or development and QA test plan writing and execution, test tool evaluation, defect tracking, defect fix verification and regression testing. Will also resolve assigned technical issues with our customers. Also requires a minimum of two years supervisory experience. Requires knowledge of Windows 9x and NT. MCSE certification preferred. Basic skills in programming helpful.
Technical Support
- TECHNICAL SUPPORT
International software development company needs motivated individual to provide support for GEAR Windows and UNIX CD recording software. UNIX troubleshooting skills required.
